Do you know how to get first page results on Google? Apparently we do.
Interestingly, after posting my article on the importance of getting listed on the first page of search engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN and brand benefits associated with that first page ranking, I started noticing hits from the following keywords:
- getting search results on the first page
- getting listed on the first page of google
- how to be listed in first page on google
Here are a couple of screen captures. One of a first place ranking for over 341,000,000 results on Google.
Now I'm a realist. I realize that these pages are quite new and could be benefiting from increased ranking because they contain "fresh content" (Search engines love fresh content). Unfortunately fresh content quickly becomes old news in this ever changing world of the Internet. I also don't expect to be #1 on page one of Google for these keywords (since I wasn't "trying" for that ranking with those specific keywords).
However, every SEO loves their day in the glorious sunlight atop the Google mountain of results. Well I guess enough jabber, I'll just go back to working on optimizing my client's websites.
