Absolutely. PageRank is about as useful as meta tags! Nearly every metric from SEOmoz has, for me, been proven to be better correlated to actual rankings than pagerank -- and you know, when I ask someone at SEOmoz for help, I receive it right away -- unlike with the team at Google. The business student in me might actually congratulate the big G for externalizing their costs -- if I didn´t feel like I was being treated like one. But that´s beside the point -- indeed, PageRank really doesn´t seem to matter much nowadays.

I prefer Mozrank that the Pagerank. Pagerank has done that the blogs is spammed with comments to obtain backlinks.

Interesting read, really helped me as i´am a novice in SEO and it seems nearly everywhere you go or look people are telling you different things. And now with goggles new algorithm i suppose back links will be as useful as Page Rank
