Because the SS is the key to your financial life, I don´t think that information should be accesssible to DMV employees.

illegals seem to have no trouble getting licence and have yet to see one deported after two and three times in court, with no licence, insurance and then they still let them go.it seems all alot of BALONY and just another idea used against those American Citizens that can afford the fines and pay. It´s no secret that this government and others want to establish a One World Order, and by instituting the National I.D. Card, and standardized driver´s license, that dream will be realized. If you fail to carry your card and if an official asks to see your identification, and you can´t produce it, you are leaving yourself open to legal punishment. These tactics are already being used in numerous countries, mainly countries ruled by dictators, anarchists and the like. If the government wants to thwart terrorist activities within the bounderies of this country, bolster our military, offer better pay incentives, but this national I.D. card will not do it. Our politicians are seeing this problem through rose colored glasses, and they think by capitulating with the terrorist, giving in to their demands, or trying to be friendly with them, will make us immune to their tactics are very seriously mistakne. Terrorists will only play that game for so long until they grow tired of it then take over. Our politicians have to stop sleeping with the Devil and come to realization, we are living in dangerous times and we need to protect ourselves, not just other nations. The differences between terrorists and tyrants is one uses bombs while the other uses licenses.
Some states will suspend drivers licences of students who drop out of school; this is a family issue, not for Dept. of Motor Vehicles to decide.
Some states suspend drivers license of under age tobbaco users; again a family issue not one for DoMV.

Employers are required to check new applicants for drivers license even if the job is baking in a pie factory.

And now just arriving; bad credit can get your license suspended i.e. this spring 2007 a lady calls into Clark Howard with a complaint of her auto insurane company running a credit report and not liking her score decided to cancel her insure and reported it to the DoMV who inturn suspended her drivers license.

This new ID is completely against what we the people stand for. The Bush Administration has been tightening it´s hands on the US since day 1. This is getting really ridiculous, seriously! Think about it; first they establish 9/11 and blame the Al-Qaeda (too which there is NO REAL evidence at all. Seriously, look it up, you won´t find any real evidence that the Hi-jackers Osama having anything to do with it; they were just a scapegoat)for it along with Osama. So they establish "Homeland Security" to put us in a vice. They´ve been bleeding money out of us so that we can´t financially do anything. They´ve been sacrificing our troops for their own agendas now they´re making new ID Cards? In these new ID Cards they´ll be installing the RFID chip which monitors everything we do, what a load of BS! We the people aren´t the terrorists nor are the (il)legal-immagrants either. The Gov´t is, and if we don´t stand up do something about it, the Bush Administration will lead us into an udder downward spiral of wars, deciet hold us in captivity (in a means).
